The first in its series, Pirate the Unkindly Gentleman is an action adventure story about a boy named Peter who joins a pirate crew called the Black Dragons. The Black Dragons kidnap the monarch's daughter, Princess Kathleen, and the series takes off from there!

Eventually, Smith returns home after a two-year hiatus to Kirkston, and he is troubled to find the rebellion holding on by a mere thread and that their prior enemy, King Harold, is perhaps more trusted by his former crew than he could ever hope to be again. Old foes have joined forces, and a secret spy, known as El Dragon Rojo, is embedded amongst Caldara Castle and could be just what they need to take back their country. People from all walks of life must band together as the Black Dragon takes her final sail in order to bring down this government coop once and for all.
